DANISH VIBES

I discovered Denmark almost four years ago. I lived there for nearly a year - and now, every time I cross the border at Flensburg, I feel it: a deep peace, something like a warrior coming home. My heart beats faster on the Storebælt Bridge every single time. In Denmark, wherever you stand, the sea is less than 50 kilometers away. I love the light that bathes this country - sunrises and sunsets like nowhere else. I love the politeness of Danish people, their kindness, a respect tinged with just enough distance that suits me perfectly. Their design, their hygge, their food. The way Copenhagen opens itself to every culinary culture - at Torvehallerne, Reffen, the Meatpacking District. I lived in Copenhagen, then in a small town north of Sjælland called Alsgårde, and spent time on the island of Orø. I go back as often as my family life allows. With infinite fondness.
