MEMORY

Is it possible to photograph everything? To be a voyeur of past horrors. To tell yourself, finger trembling on the shutter, that it is a duty to remember. To be overcome by the breath of tortured bodies - eliminated, methodically annihilated. I instinctively sought out the light. To fill the void. To silence the silence. The last photo in the album is the last one I was able to take. Beyond that door, everything went black. I put my camera down.
